JSR-168 Portal Support
Magnolia EE is delivered with Portal integration that allows you to publish content to any JSR-168 Portal with Magnolia's renowned ease-of-use.

Magnolia's distributed architecture provides unique benefits for large-scale portal deployments. Each portal can contain its own copy of Magnolia as a subscriber to the Magnolia author environment. This eliminates the traditional communication bottleneck between a portal and its content delivery system and allows for unlimited scalability and speed.

LDAP/ADS Directory Support
Magnolia Enterprise Edition uses JAAS, a standard for authentication and authorization. This standard allows to use JAAS modules to implement single-sign-on requirements or connect to existing directory servers. Magnolia contains functionality to connect to ADS and LDAP servers for user authentication. This makes it easy to deploy Magnolia in large scale intranet settings where user management infrastructure already exists.

Package Manager
The Package Manager allows anybody to bundle arbitrary content, including templates, files and static resources, into a single entity. This makes the Package Manager an ideal tool for custom backups, delivery of updates and multi-staging scenarios.

Unlimited Support
The Magnolia Network Subscription includes unlimited hours of support for the Magnolia Enterprise Edition as described in the Magnolia Network Agreement. In short, we will make sure that your installation is successfull and once the system is in production, we help should any issues arise.

Non-Functional Differences between Enterprise and Community Edition

1. Licensing Magnolia Enterprise Edition is licensed through the Magnolia Network Agreement, a business-friendly license that grants you access to the source code and waives certain license requirements attached to the GPL'd Magnolia Community Edtion.
   
2. Protection Magnolia Enterprise Edition is a product. With it comes product liability and certain rights and guarantees for you - our valued costumer. The Community Edition is a project, not a product. As such, it comes with no consumer rights protection, no guarantees whatsoever and no liability.
   
3. Indemnification For Magnolia Enterprise Edition, Magnolia International Ltd. will replace any code found in court to be in violation of copyright.
   
4. Support Magnolia Enterprise Edition is professionally supported by Magnolia International Ltd., the creators of Magnolia. The Community Edition is unsupported. While you might find someone that "supports" the Community Edition, this someone will have no right to commit bug fixes back to Magnolia. In effect, you will have to maintain your own copy of the source code, which almost certainly is not what you want. If you need support, you need Magnolia Enterprise Edition.
   
5. Certified Stack We test combinations of hardware and software and guarantee that Magnolia Enterprise Edition is working on these certified systems.
   
6. Migration Path We make sure your data can be migrated between the releases of Magnolia Enterprise Edition and provide migration tools to do so.

Functional Differences between Enterprise and Community Edition
